Just wondering if anyone knows of any shops that do pro-grade terrain for our games.
Thanks!

Strategies has pre painted terrain for sale and I believe connections may as well. Strategies organizes a monthly ordering of products he doesn't normally stock if there is something you have found online and would rather a LGS have your business then ask him. Connections may also be able to do this. Lastly Imperial Hobbies has just about everything so call them and ask, they dwell in Richmond but their selection is possibly the best in the lower mainland.

Thanks for the info gent - I want to clarify the question though:
Is there a studio in Van that does custom terrain for gaming? I am thinking of starting something up and I'm checking out current market environment for this kind of thing.
Thanks!

Rob Metzner does pro terrain, if you're able to stop by the WCP GT this weekend at the legion at 43rd and Fraser come talk to me (Dan) and I'll show you a bunch of his stuff as he's sponsoring our event. He doesn't have a studio per se, he sells stuff through word of mouth and at events around town and his prices are beyond reasonable.
If not PM me through the forum I'll try to dig up some pictures and give you his number. His stuff is all amazing stuff, you should really check it out.

Definitely interested in checking out his stuff and having a word with him. Does he do all scales? Hook me up with the info and I'll try to make it out this weekend...

I saw his stuff at ConQuest last weekend, while I was at the Thunder Bowl cup day. His email is robert@tabletopscenery.com. The stuff he had on display would do for 28mm games, such as Warmachine. I believe he had provided most of the scenery for the fantasy and 40k tournaments at ConQuest. I think he also had some 15mm historical figures on some of his display pieces and it didn't look out of place. I chatted with him briefly, I don't think he'd have a problem scaling stuff to what you'd like, but shoot him an email and see.

Yes, he provided all of the scenery for Fantasy and a table or so for 40k, the rest was supplied by A-Club. He does fantastic work, just email him and tell him what you need and he'll work something out!

Many professional miniature painters do terrain as well. Because the terrain is often done to the same (hopefully) high standard as their miniature paintjobs, they may cost you a fair bit more than a dedicated terrain specialist though.
Might be worth a try anyway. I would get in touch with a few, let them know precisely what you're looking for, and see what their quotes are like. Make sure they send you pics of previous comparable work they've done as well.
